Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies is seeking a Service Operations Assistant to support underwriting operations in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This entry-level role focuses on processing policy issuance, handling Certificates of Insurance, and fulfilling loss-run requests within a single line of business.

The position offers a hybrid schedule (2 days remote/3 days in-office), predictable hours, and competitive pay with generous PTO.

Qualifikationen

• High School Graduate; College preferred but not required.
• Proven proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Aufgaben

• Review all submitted applications, enter in IIS, and route to the appropriate underwriter or underwriting team.
• Review all submitted policy documents uploaded by agents and determine handling.
• Review bureau criticisms for WC from NCCI or state bureaus and refer when necessary.
• Process cancellation/rewriting requests for policy term changes.
• Respond to Certificates of Insurance and Loss Run requests from agents and insureds.
• Endorse policies as requested by the agent of record; prepare renewal notices as required.
• Issue policies following state guidelines and contact the agent for missing items until issued.
