Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of project management experience, preferably in the utility industry (power distribution, transmission)
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
• Proficiency in project management principles, scheduling, and cost controls
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), data management; Access is a plus
• Experience in construction management and utility business unit operations
• Strong written and oral communication across all levels
• Demonstrated decision making, risk management, and project leadership
• Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA, PM) or equivalent
• Preferred: Utility certifications (PMP/CAPM, CMII, PE) or related training
• Preferred: Agile project management experience in the utility industry

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Green I or Green II utility projects per PM Center of Excellence standards
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and budgets using Excel and Access
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders across all organizational levels
• Apply project management methodologies, including Agile, to ensure delivery in the utility sector
• Oversee risk management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration
• Prepare and maintain project reports and updates for leadership and stakeholders
• Interpret complex data to resolve project issues efficiently
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
• Leverage construction management and utility operations knowledge as required
• Maintain advanced data management practices with Excel and Access
