Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Project Manager to oversee utility substation and transmission-line projects in Charlotte, NC. The role blends office, remote work, and site visits with PPE requirements, typically three days on-site and two days remote weekly. Travel is up to 20% with mileage reimbursement.

The 1-year contract may extend or convert to full-time. Strong leadership and coordination are essential. The successful candidate will manage scope, schedule, cost, safety, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related professional experience.
• 4+ years of project management experience, preferably in utility substation or transmission line projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling/tools (Primavera P6, Ecosys, Powerplant, Maximo).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project teams across internal and external stakeholders for utility substation or transmission line projects.
• Plan and manage all phases of project execution including scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish and maintain effective communication among stakeholders; lead meetings and prepare required reports.
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure adherence to PMCoE standards.
• Drive planning processes including scope definition, estimating, scheduling, and cost control.
• Conduct regular site visits with PPE; travel up to 20% as needed.
