Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This hybrid role reports to the Assistant Controller and supports the Finance Department with general accounting and controls functions. The position is based at our North Salt Lake, UT site or Phoenix, AZ site.

Responsibilities include journal entries, month-end close, account analysis, and supporting AP/AR. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, ERP/Excel proficiency, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• Cost and inventory accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with ERP systems, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Record monthly and standard journal entries to the general ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.
• Perform account analysis and reconciliation for balance sheet and expense GL accounts.
• Prepare financial analyses as requested by Controller and management.
• Support operating plants, AP and AR functions as needed.
• Run daily and month-end reports for management.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Adhere to duties as assigned, permanent or temporary.
