Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, seeks a Staff Accountant to support the Finance Department with general accounting and controls. The role reports to the Assistant Controller and will perform journal entries, month-end close, account analysis, and financial reporting in a hybrid setting.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, understanding of ERP and accounting software, strong Excel/Word skills, and the ability to multitask and communicate effectively at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent
• Cost & Inventory accounting preferred
• Ability to apply logical thinking to gathering and analyzing information
• Knowledge of accounting software, ERP software, and intermediate Excel/Word knowledge
• Must be able to multitask, be detail oriented and organized
• Must communicate effectively with employees at all levels

Responsibilities

• Record monthly and standard journal entries to the general ledger
• Ensure timely and accurate month end closing
• Perform account analysis and reconciliation for balance sheet and expense G/L accounts
• Perform financial analysis as requested by Controller and management
• Support operating plants, AP and AR functions as requested
• Run daily and month-end reports for management
