Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the finance team in a hybrid role. The position reports to the Assistant Controller and is based at either the North Salt Lake UT site or Phoenix AZ site.

The Staff Accountant will perform general accounting and controls functions while supporting the Finance Department across GL activities, reconciliations, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Cost & Inventory accounting experience preferred.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to information gathering and analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting software/ERP; proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Must multi-task, stay detail oriented and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Record monthly and standard journal entries to the general ledger.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing.
• Perform account analyses and reconciliations for balance sheet and expense GLs.
• Provide financial analysis as requested by Controller and management.
• Support operating plants, AP and AR functions as requested.
• Run daily and month-end management reports.
• Assist with internal and external audits requests.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Additional duties as assigned.
