Job summary

LHH is partnering with a well-established professional services organization to identify a Senior Staff Accountant for its growing finance team. This role will handle general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements in a collaborative environment.

Hybrid after training, with a salary range of $65,000–$80,000 annually. Ideal candidates hold a CPA or are pursuing certification, possess strong Excel skills, and can manage multiple deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and documentation with accuracy.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform month-end reconciliations.
• Review reconciliations and accounting work for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff on processes and procedures.
• Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of tax-related obligations.
• Analyze and reconcile bank accounts and cash activity.
• Support development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Ensure financial records are properly maintained and organized in accounting systems.
• Complete banking confirmations and other financial verification requests.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and support system implementations, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
• Evaluate workflows and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
