Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a well-established professional services organization to place a Senior Staff Accountant in its growing finance team. You will handle general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations, while driving process improvements in a collaborative environment.

Hybrid after training with a compensation range of $65K–$80K annually. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification preferred.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, accounting schedules, and supporting documentation while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Maintain the general ledger and complete month-end balance sheet reconciliations, including journal entries, account analysis, and discrepancy resolution.
• Review reconciliations and accounting work prepared by other team members for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff on financial processes and procedures.
• Assist with the preparation, tracking, and reconciliation of various tax-related obligations.
• Analyze and reconcile bank accounts and cash activity.
• Support the development and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Ensure financial records are properly maintained, documented, and organized within accounting systems.
• Complete banking confirmations and other financial verification requests.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis, support special projects, and assist with accounting related to system implementations, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
• Evaluate existing workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
