Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for a growing healthcare organization with a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role will own core accounting processes, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit and tax support while partnering with Finance and Operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, and experience with mid-to-large ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or external audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience supporting external audits and working with tax advisors.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with mid-to-large ERP systems.
• Sage Intacct experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, GAAP-compliant results.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for management and external stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements to close processes to accelerate reporting timelines.
• Manage payroll accounting and payroll-related GL accounts.
• Record and reconcile payroll journal entries, benefits accruals, bonuses, and payroll tax liabilities.
• Support external audit preparation and coordinate with auditors and tax advisors.
• Maintain strong internal controls and GAAP compliance.
