Safety National, a leading specialty insurer, seeks an Excess Workers’ Compensation Senior Regional Underwriting Manager to drive profitable growth across an assigned territory. You will balance technical underwriting with business development and relationship management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions.

You will mentor junior underwriters and help shape underwriting strategy while traveling up to 40% to engage brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience underwriting large workers’ compensation accounts.
• Strong knowledge of regional insurance markets, brokers, and customer relationships.
• Ability to coordinate with facultative reinsurance, actuarial, legal, claims, and business development partners.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite excess workers’ compensation to drive profitable growth.
• Serve as a trusted partner to brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced underwriters.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Claims, Actuarial and Legal teams.
• Travel up to 40% to meet brokers and clients.
