Job summary

National Center for Defense Manufacturing & Machining seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead customer-focused programs in a hybrid Huntsville, AL setting. You will steer project objectives, coordinate with DoD representatives, and drive schedules and budgets across multi-organizational teams.

The role emphasizes DoD program management, strong leadership, and effective communication to secure ongoing and follow-on opportunities, with substantial travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Masters' degree in Engineering with Manufacturing Technology and/or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years of experience required.
• Alternative: Bachelor's degree in related field with 15 years of experience.
• Experience in manufacturing and machining with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience with Department of Defense projects is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide program leadership for selected programs including interfacing with customers.
• Develop and oversee SOW, cost proposal and timeline generation.
• Identify project team and oversee project execution.
• Ensure programs are on time and within budget and meet objectives.
• Monthly reporting to stakeholders and DoD representatives.
• Identify new sources for program management opportunities.
• Supervise team members and support annual reviews.

Education
