Job summary

The City of New York’s Department of City Planning is seeking a Senior Procurement Analyst to manage procurements from initiation through award and registration. You will coordinate with multiple units, prepare RFPs and contract documents, and ensure compliance with PPB Rules and city directives.

Successful candidates will have strong analytical and negotiating skills, be detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex procurement projects in a dynamic urban agency environment.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree or equivalent with procurement experience; alternative education options listed in minimum qualifications.
• 1 year of full-time professional procurement experience or related work is required (see minimum qualifications).
• Combination of education and experience may be substituted under the rules stated in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze incoming procurement requests to determine appropriate methods and review details for accuracy.
• Support agency units to meet purchasing needs efficiently and in compliance with procurement policies.
• Draft specifications and review contract documents for conformity to requirements and city/state/federal mandates.
