The role partners with HR and G&A, maintains confidential payroll information, and ensures tax compliance in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring payroll processing experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to operate within an ERP/finances system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus relevant finance experience.
• 3–5 years progressive experience in finance or accounting.

Responsibilities

• Audit and process bi-weekly payroll across multiple states.
• Review payroll registers for hours, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Coordinate with HR/payroll vendor on calendars and issues.
• Monitor multi-state payroll tax compliance and registrations.
• Prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.
• Serve as system administrator for payroll system and maintain records.
• Support year-end payroll activities (W-2 review, bonus processing).
• Prepare month-end close entries and support close processes.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable as needed.
