Job summary

Withum is seeking an Outsourced Accounting Senior Consultant to join our OASyS team in a hybrid role (3 days in the office). You will work with clients in the professional services industry and lead close processes, AP, payroll, and journal entries, while supporting audits.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, CPA preferred or MBA, and strong Excel skills with GAAP knowledge. Base salary ranges from $85k to $95k with benefits and bonus programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred and/or MBA equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Client service experience with outsourced accounting or consulting.
• Strong Excel skills and GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with professional team; assign work and coaching.
• Oversee accounts payable workflows and vendor payments.
• Review payroll processing and related filings with HR/payroll.
• Lead month-end close, journal entries review, and GL maintenance.
• Review and approve journal entries and supporting details.
• Review reconciliations; resolve variances in key accounts.
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and analytics.
• Partner with client leadership as day-to-day contact.
• Coordinate external reviews and audits; manage auditor requests.
• Strengthen internal controls and streamline processes.
