Job summary

Withum is hiring an Outsourced Accounting Senior Consultant to join our OASyS team. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and serves clients in the professional services sector.

You will lead close processes, review journal entries, and collaborate with client HR/payroll to ensure accurate financials. Ideal candidates have CPA or MBA, 3+ years of experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred and/or MBA equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience including leadership and review responsibilities.
• Experience in outsourced accounting, advisory, public accounting or consulting.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication with non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills: pivots, lookups, data validation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable workflows, vendor and contractor payments, and proper documentation.
• Review payroll processing and filings with client HR/payroll providers.
• Lead month-end close, prepare journal entries, and ensure reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries and supporting details.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve variances.
• Assist budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and performance analytics.
