Withum is seeking an Outsourced Accounting Senior Consultant to join our growing OASyS team. This hybrid-based role (3 days in the office) supports clients in the professional services industry, leading close processes, AP, payroll, and journal entries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA preferred and/or MBA equivalent.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership and review responsibilities.
• Experience in outsourced accounting, advisory, public accounting, or consulting.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to present financial results to non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Clio; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable workflows and ensure proper documentation.
• Review payroll processing and filings with client HR/payroll providers.
• Lead month-end close, review journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.
• Approve proposed journal entries and ensure supporting details.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Assist budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and performance analytics.
