Job summary

OneEnergy Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting Operations to lead day-to-day operational accounting, the month-end close, and treasury activities.

You will own cost accounting, revenue, COGS, inventory, GL, and related systems, partnering with Finance and business teams to connect operational decisions to financial results. The role requires deep GAAP knowledge, strong people leadership, and a hands-on approach to process design and system administration, including Sage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with operational accounting ownership.
• 4+ years leading the close and managing complex reconciliations.
• 4+ years of people management and developing teams.
• Renewable energy, construction, or project-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own operational accounting across cost accounting, revenue, COGS, inventory, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, AR, AP, and the GL.
• Lead accounting for project and inventory costs, including WIP and COGS recognition.
• Oversee revenue recognition, journal entries, reconciliations, and process improvements.
• Lead Accounts Payable function with strong vendor controls and process improvements.
• Own monthly close, aiming for completion within nine business days.
• Set close calendar, remove roadblocks, and run close retrospectives.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and collaborate on consolidated financials and MD&A.
• Own daily cash visibility, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
• Manage Sage Intacct system configuration, governance, and data integrity.
• Lead cross-functional system implementations and change management.
• Establish internal controls and GAAP-compliant processes; maintain policy documentation.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team; manage capacity and performance.
• Partner with VP Corporate Controller on priorities and close optimization.
