Job summary

UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA seeks a Senior IT Analyst to support EMR and Laboratory IT across the health system. You will work with laboratory analyzers, middleware platforms, and Epic integrations to enable accurate, timely diagnostic services.

The role offers opportunities to participate in major modernization projects, on-call rotation, and collaboration with clinicians, vendors, and operational teams. Hybrid work with onsite presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required (or equivalent) and 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with EMR, laboratory IT, and interfaces/integrations.
• Preferred: knowledge of digital pathology systems, scanners, image-management platforms, workflows, interfaces, or supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory analyzers, automation platforms, and middleware environments.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory interfaces and system integrations.
• Investigate analyzer connectivity, workflow, and data transmission issues.
• Provide support for Point-of-Care technologies across the health system.
• Assist with Blood Bank applications and related laboratory technologies.
• Support laboratory desktops, printers, scanners, and related equipment.
• Participate in system upgrades, testing, implementations, and go-live support.
• Develop and support workflows and rules within Data Innovations and middleware technologies.
• Collaborate with laboratory leaders, clinicians, vendors, and operational teams to ensure reliable system performance.
