Job summary

embecta, a global medical device company with a rich legacy and hybrid work in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor. You will evaluate internal controls, lead audit workstreams, and collaborate with management and external auditors to maintain ICFR and financial integrity.

The role requires 3+ years of audit experience, SOX knowledge, CPA/CIA/CFE or progress toward certification, and willingness to travel 25% internationally and domestically.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Finance or Accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA, CIA, CFE or working towards a certification is required.
• 3+ years audit experience with a mix of public accounting and/or Internal Audit in a global company.
• Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, including ICFR and evaluation of control design.
• Strong communication, planning, administrative, technical, and process management skills, with global stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to travel 25% international and domestic.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit workstreams and manage timelines with limited supervision.
• Conduct audits per IIA standards and report to management.
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk-based audit procedures.
• Support SOX compliance and IT audit activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors for efficient annual audits and ICFR.
• Document findings and action plans; ensure closure of issues.
