Job summary

Blue River PetCare, with its corporate office in Chicago, seeks a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead HRBP functions, guide hospital operations, and ensure compliant, scalable HR practices across clinics. Hybrid in-office schedule near downtown Chicago.

You will coach leaders, manage employee relations, and support acquisitions and onboarding processes. You will partner with leadership to improve performance, engagement, and policy interpretation while overseeing a team of HR Business

Qualifications

• 7+ years of business partnership experience with emphasis in employee relations.
• Minimum of 3+ years successfully managing staff.
• Experience supporting HR operations across multiple states with knowledge of labor and employment laws.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Managers and Operations to address business needs related to employee development, compensation, compliance, and training.
• Lead the HR Business Partner team and advise leaders on complex employee relations and investigations.
• Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired hospitals and implement standardized HR practices across the organization.
• Develop training materials and toolkits for managers and employees; ensure compliance with HR policies.
