This team member must be located within 40 miles of Blue River PetCare's corporate office to work a hybrid schedule (1 S. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606).
The Senior FP&A Analyst is an integral part of the Company’s FP&A Analytics team. The position is responsible for driving annual budgeting process for the FP&A Manager, supporting the FP&A team in developing and presenting financial and operational analyses to all levels of the organization and continuous development recommendations for FP&A processes and technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for monthly financial dashboard and deck presentation for Senior Management and Board of Directors
- Create quarterly departmental budget variance reports for Senior Management and manage meeting schedule with each department
- Analyze monthly financials for opportunities and recommend action-oriented conclusions to improve financial and operational results
- Communicate analyses to leadership, and key stakeholders within BRP for informed strategic decisions
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to departmental managers to support consolidated portfolio
- Support execution of annual budgeting and forecasting processes, lead segments of the process including revenue, personnel and expenses
- Retrieve and analyze financial and operational data from platforms and assist in compiling data into data warehouse
- Perform frequent special ad hoc projects and analysis
- Provide documentation for updated processes
Requirements
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of work experience preferred, preferably in FP&A role
- Workday Adaptive Planning experience preferred, Workday Financial experience a plus
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and analytical acumen
- Excellent communication skills are critical
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task while maintaining accuracy and focusing on attention to detail in a professional and efficient manner
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint: efficient database sourcing, utilization of standard Excel functions to aggregate and summarize data, creation of graphs in proper context of data presented, use of best practices for insuring data integrity, design of executive/board level presentation quality outputs
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected information
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Basic understanding of accounting (general ledger, trial balance, and capital policy) is a plus
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, finance, or another relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
- The person may communicate with managers at remote locations using email and phone; must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers in the office
- Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range:$95,000-105,000 per year
