Principal Lead Health Actuary Consultant will manage projects on health benefits strategies, including projections, plan design, and renewal negotiations, while guiding analysts and presenting deliverables to clients. The role requires at least 15 years in actuarial work, ASA/FSA, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required in actuarial science or related field.
• 15+ years in actuarial field; consulting experience preferred.
• ASA/FSA credential or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to manage client projects and lead analysts.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements across health benefits forecasting and renewal negotiations.
• Review analyses by junior staff to ensure actuarial soundness.
• Utilize AI and technology-enabled tools in analyses.
• Develop cost projections using Excel, SAS, and other software.
• Draft client reports and presentations with strategic recommendations.
