Job summary

EDF Renewables is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the technical coordination of grid-scale PV, wind, and storage projects from development through construction in North America. The role focuses on interconnection, preliminary engineering, and moving designs from 10% through IFC, with a strong emphasis on EPC execution.

Hybrid role based in San Diego, CA, typically three days in the office (Tuesday–Thursday).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience on renewable energy projects.
• Minimum 2+ years as a project engineer.
• Experience with civil, structural or electrical design packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preliminary collection system, substation and transmission design.
• Facilitate preliminary engineering design activities including geotechnical, lidar hydrology and electrical studies.
• Attend project reviews and coordinate with Development, Permitting, Interconnection, Estimating, Procurement, and Project Management teams.
• Manage external 3rd-party engineering consultants and coordinate with EPCs, Utilities, ISO, and off-taker.
• Support EPC design execution and review SOVs, RFIs, and drawings through IFC.
