Job summary

BETA Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned GIS Project Manager to drive projects from kickoff to completion. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, engage municipal and state clients, and deliver Esri-based GIS solutions that meet complex data-driven goals.

You will guide technical teams, ensure data quality, and mentor staff while collaborating with senior leadership to grow BETA’s geospatial practice across New England.

Qualifications

• 14+ years’ experience utilizing ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online for advanced geospatial analysis and project execution
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Strong experience with ESRI technologies including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Experience Builder, Survey123/Survey123 Connect, Field Maps
• Strong programming and automation experience using Python, Arcade, JavaScript, SQL
• Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude and a solid understanding of GIS concepts and data structures
• Ability to create visually appealing maps and good cartographic design
• Excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines

Responsibilities

• Lead GIS projects from kickoff through completion, managing scope, schedules, budgets, resources, fieldwork, and deliverables to meet client goals
• Serve as primary GIS project contact for municipal/state clients across New England, building relationships and translating client needs into data-driven solutions
• Direct project teams in design and implementation of Esri-based GIS solutions (ArcGIS Online, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Field Maps, Survey123)
• Provide technical leadership in GIS databases, applications, mapping products, system integrations, workflow development, and data management
• Oversee collection, integration, processing, analysis, and quality control of geospatial data to ensure accurate results
• Leverage Python, Arcade, automation and emerging GIS tech to streamline workflows
• Lead QA/QC and review GIS data, analyses, applications, maps, and reports for quality
• Collaborate across engineers, planners, environmental professionals, GIS staff to integrate GIS into multidisciplinary projects
• Visit client sites to lead meetings, oversee implementation, collect field data, and ensure delivery success
• Mentor GIS staff and support professional development
• Partner with Senior Managers on strategic initiatives and opportunities to grow GIS services
• Support business development through proposals, interviews, presentations, and client pursuits
