Honeywell Technologies is seeking a General Counsel, Government Contracts to lead enterprise legal strategy for government contracts and regulatory compliance across the organization. The role advises on FAR, DFARS, DPAS, and related obligations, with responsibility for risk management and contract negotiations.

The position reports to the VP & GC and Head of Legal Transformation, and can be based in Washington, DC or Charlotte, NC on a hybrid schedule, directing a Government Contracts Analyst

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience advising on government contracts.
• J.D. or equivalent and admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction.
• Expertise in FAR, DFARS, DPAS, and related government contracting obligations.
• Strong drafting and contracting capabilities across prime contracts, subcontracts, and flow-down terms.
• Ability to synthesize complex issues for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advise on U.S. government contract compliance and related obligations.
• Develop and enhance government contract compliance policies and training.
• Monitor regulatory developments and oversee audits and investigations.
• Drive enterprise compliance governance and KPI/KRI reporting with cross-functional teams.
