Job summary

Eversource Energy in the United States is seeking a Senior Engineer to design substations and optimize the distribution system, blending office work with field projects on protection and control circuits. You will analyze system disturbances and validate equipment performance in a multi-state setting.

The role supports grid modernization, collaborates across engineering, planning and ops, and drives safe, reliable energy delivery while integrating clean energy resources.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology with related experience.
Strong understanding of load flow, voltage regulation and power modeling.
Experience with electric distribution operational technologies and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Support electric distribution operators by optimizing the grid using DMS features.
Serve as SME in real time tech such as ADMS, SCADA, DER dispatching and energy storage.
Collaborate with IT, engineering and ops for DMS enhancements.
Prepare project approvals with scope, budget, schedule and risk mitigations.
Travel between MA/CT/NH as needed and support emergency restorations.
