Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide technical leadership across electric, gas distribution, transmission, substations, and related systems. You will mentor junior engineers, lead complex studies, and ensure safety and reliability in project execution.

You will manage budgets, schedules and resources for major projects, drive grid modernization strategies, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or PE licensure.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of problem solving approaches and engineering theory.
• Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes, methods, and practices.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience; PE license or advanced degree may reduce requirements.
• Lead Member of a recognized industry committee or related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Leads and performs assignments in specialized areas requiring extensive engineering expertise, maintaining credentials.
• Leads and performs engineering tasks on complex projects with field testing, troubleshooting, and peer review.
• Evaluates complex technical issues requiring highly specialized knowledge and recommends actions.
• Develops and leads projects with significant financial and operational impact; prepares documentation.
• Provides technical training, mentorship, peer review, and guidance to others.
• Participates in department planning, field/site walkdowns, meetings, budget recommendations, and performance monitoring.
• Participates in industry societies or committees to stay updated on new technologies.
