Great American Insurance Group's GARS Analytics Team seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead analytics delivery, build predictive models, and scale data science capabilities in a hybrid Cincinnati environment. You will mentor juniors, partner with underwriting, claims, and product teams, ensure governance, and drive data storytelling for leadership while advancing AI and automation initiatives.

On-site four days a week with one remote day, you’ll work on diverse datasets and ensure regulatory

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, actuarial science, or related field; PhD preferred
• 6+ years of experience with large datasets and predictive modeling; production experience
• Strong Python and ML library expertise; experience with structured and unstructured data

Aufgaben

• Lead design, development, validation, and deployment of predictive models for underwriting and pricing
• Design data pipelines and automated reporting tools and dashboards
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in modeling and documentation
• Partner with actuarial, underwriting, claims, and product teams to translate business problems into technical specs
• Ensure models meet governance, regulatory, and bias/fairness standards
