Job summary

MiniMed seeks an experienced litigation, eDiscovery, and information governance attorney to join the Legal Department. Reporting to the Chief Litigation Officer, you will manage the litigation portfolio, oversee eDiscovery and legal holds, and partner with IT, Compliance, HR, Quality, Regulatory and business teams.

This role is hybrid, requiring at least three on-site days per week in Northridge, CA or Minneapolis, MN, and offers exposure to senior leadership and outside counsel on high-impact

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 8+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of litigation, pre-litigation disputes, and risk matters.
• Oversee outside counsel and litigation vendors, including budgets, staffing, and spend.
• Lead eDiscovery, legal hold, and litigation readiness programs; coordinate data collections across systems.
• Advise on retention schedules, data governance, and records management; support investigations and regulatory responses.
