Orbital Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in a hybrid Baton Rouge, LA role. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in heavy industrial environments, PE licensure, and strong field and project management capabilities.

Responsibilities include field scoping, design oversight, and coordination of steel, concrete and foundations within petrochemical and utility sectors. The position emphasizes technical leadership, client interaction, and adherence to safety and design

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with capital/maintenance project execution.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and STAAD Pro or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Perform field visits to client plants/sites for project scoping and estimation.
• Provide field engineering support at client sites as required.
• Assist with studies, calculations, detailed design documents and specifications.
• Model structures using STAAD Pro or similar design software.
• Review calculations, drawings, and vendor documents for compliance.
• Design pipe racks, supports, foundations and access platforms.
• Develop and update technical standards and design basis references.
• Ensure tasks follow Orbital project management procedures and guidelines.
• Support customers and regional business development as a technical resource.
• Manage project progress relative to plan, schedule, and budget.
