Job summary

North Carolina State University is seeking a Sr. Budget Analyst to join the University Budget Office. The analyst conducts budget and financial analyses guiding multi-year planning and resource allocation, and prepares reports and forecasts for university leadership.

You will mentor budget analysts, train campus units on budgeting, and support the Tuition and Student Fee Increase process while coordinating dashboards with Power BI and related systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent with strong budgeting/finance experience.
• Experience with multi-year budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong Excel, data visualization, and data querying skills.

Responsibilities

• Build budget analyses and forecasts for multi-year planning across all operating funding sources.
• Analyze five-year budget plans and funding requests to advise leadership.
• Coordinate tuition and student fee analyses for Board submissions.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, and recommendations for executive leadership.
