Job summary

Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Commercial Auto & General Liability Adjuster in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers a hybrid onsite schedule with two days per week on site and requires handling medium complexity/severity claims including bodily injury and coverage evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3 years of general liability experience, and a track record of building positive relationships with agents and policyholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of experience handling general liability and/or bodily injury claims of medium level of complexity/severity.
• AIC or SCLA certification preferred.
• Ability to obtain appropriate state licensing as required.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships within department and with external customers.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight up to 10% and daily between locations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and communicate with agents, policyholders and internal stakeholders on claims of medium complexity/severity and book of business.
• Investigate losses, identify coverage, evaluate liability and damages, review and analyze documents and legal pleadings.
• Develop plan of action to proactively conclude claims and settle claims pursuant to guidelines.
• Establish and maintain proper reserves for each claim to reflect financial exposure.
• Determine need for external resources to execute proper resolutions while monitoring costs.
• Collaborate with internal partners on indemnifications and additional insured coverage issues.
• Collaborate with counsel to manage litigated claims.
• Review and interpret commercial insurance policies and communicate coverage issues clearly.
