Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Associate Relations Partner in downtown Kansas City, MO. The role is hybrid (Mon–Thu on-site / Fri remote) and focuses on advising people leaders on performance management, HR policies, and risk mitigation related to the associate experience.

You will lead investigations, manage accommodations, analyze trends, and develop training for leaders, while serving as a trusted resource for associates on complex questions and concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• At least 3 years of associate/employee relations experience including HR employment data analysis.
• Strong business acumen and ability to learn business processes to mitigate risk.
• Commitment to fostering inclusion and diversity.
• Experience driving communication and collaboration across multiple groups.
• Ability to create, maintain and disseminate information to stakeholders for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as key adviser to people leaders on performance management philosophy, coaching, PIP, and HR policy compliance, including terminations where needed.
• Lead internal investigations from start to finish and coordinate with Corporate Legal as needed.
• Handle all reasonable accommodation requests and interactive dialogues.
• Analyze trends and identify training needs for people leaders related to associate experience and compliance.
• Develop training materials and lead training sessions for leaders.
• Serve as a trusted resource for associates on complex questions and concerns.
• Recognize and mitigate risk by collecting feedback, conducting climate reviews and advising management on action plans.
