Job summary

New York University seeks an Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the College of Arts & Science. The role oversees the CAS curriculum, partners with faculty and department leaders to advance college-wide academic priorities and serves as primary staff for accreditation and regulatory matters.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree required; 10+ years in academic planning, curriculum development, recruitment, admissions, student affairs, and managing budgets or equivalent experience.
• Experience supervising staff and budgets; higher education policy and curricular planning preferred.
• Superb strategic planning, interpersonal and written/oral communication; ability to build relationships across diverse faculty constituencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CAS curriculum administration and curriculum development in coordination with departments.
• Advise and collaborate with faculty to develop new seminars, programs and minor/major tracks reflecting changing student and college goals.
• Lead assessment of curriculum planning, enrollment trends and outcomes measures; implement outcomes assessment and curricular innovations.
