Job summary

Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan, seeks a SCADA Engineer to design, configure and maintain SCADA systems for real-time grid monitoring and control. The role integrates field devices, develops HMI displays, and ensures secure communications across EMS/ADMS environments built on the OSI Monarch/Emerson DGM stack.

Hybrid work with onsite days Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. You will collaborate with IT, OT, and field teams to meet safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements, including NERC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or CS with 2+ years in SCADA/automation.
• Associate degree with 4+ years in SCADA/industrial control.
• HS diploma with 6+ years in SCADA/industrial control.

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards and automation scripts for situational awareness.
• Configure SCADA/HMI systems including alarms and historians.
• Integrate SCADA with RTUs, IEDs, sensors via DNP3, Modbus, OPC.
• Troubleshoot and maintain real-time operations.
• Test, validate, and commission SCADA components with operations.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity for secure integration.
• Document configurations for audits (NERC CIP, TOP, FERC SOC).
• Provide 24x7x365 on-call support.
• Other duties as assigned.
