Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, designing, building and maintaining utility-scale solar, battery storage and high voltage substation projects nationwide.

We seek a commissioning professional to support the network and communications pre-commissioning and commissioning process to ensure devices communicate properly during hot commissioning. This hybrid role requires on-site presence at job sites with partial remote work.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in commissioning utility-scale solar power projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of networking and communications systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to interpret Electrical and Mechanical Drawings/ Schematics.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site-specific commissioning plans and adhere to schedules.
• Coordinate with project teams, including engineering, construction, and quality assurance, SCADA to ensure alignment on commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests, including performance, functional, and reliability testing of all communications systems.
• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during commissioning to ensure optimal SCADA and site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documenting test results, issues, and corrective actions.
