Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an experienced commissioning professional to support pre-commissioning and on-site testing for utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high-voltage projects. The role emphasizes SCADA communications testing, adherence to standards, and collaboration with engineering, construction, and QA teams.

The position is hybrid with required onsite presence at job sites in the United States and some remote work.

Qualifications

• This role requires 3–5 years of commissioning experience on utility-scale solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Solid networking and communications systems knowledge.
• Proactive problem solving and issue resolution ability.
• Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical drawings/Schematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement site commissioning plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA, and SCADA to align commissioning activities.
• Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for communications systems.
• Ensure activities comply with NFPA/NEC, IEEE standards, and safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot issues to optimize SCADA and site communications performance.
• Prepare detailed commissioning reports with test results and corrective actions.
• Support safety programs and ensure proper PPE usage on site.
• Assist site team with safety and quality execution.
