Job summary

ComTec Information Systems seeks an experienced SCADA Engineer to support SCADA and OT initiatives within a utility environment. The role covers design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of SCADA systems, real‑time simulation/HIL, protection, and automation for grid modernization.

The candidate should have a strong electrical engineering foundation, hands‑on SCADA communications experience, and a track record in system upgrades and IT/OT integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems fundamentals.
• 5+ years of experience in SCADA, power systems, protection, or utility OT.
• Hands-on experience with SCADA communications, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with real-time simulation, HIL, or similar power‑system simulations.
• Experience with protection systems, relays, IEDs, or related power‑system tech.
• Understanding OT/IT integration and platform modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of SCADA and OT systems in a utility environment.
• Develop and execute test scenarios involving SCADA, protection, automation, and power‑system applications.
• Support real‑time simulation and HIL testing of utility systems and grid technologies.
• Configure, test, troubleshoot, and validate SCADA communications between OT systems and field devices.
• Assist with system upgrades, migrations, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Document procedures, test results, and technical recommendations for stakeholders.
