Job summary
Woodard & Curran is seeking a dynamic SCADA Automation & Controls Engineer to support municipal and some industrial clients across the New England region, including RI, MA, and CT. The role emphasizes design, implementation, and management of water and wastewater automation projects with regular client interaction.
You will collaborate with project teams to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget and travel regionally (up to 80%).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- PE License or CAP is a bonus.
- 2–3 years’ experience in control system integration.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMI software.
- Experience with SCADA design, installation, and startup.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Participate in site investigations to gather information and estimate costs.
- Develop PLC logic for monitoring and control of water systems.
- Design HMI screens and OIT graphics for SCADA deployments.
- Create automated reports for client use and regulatory reporting.
- Oversee field wiring, installation, and equipment commissioning.
- Configure instrumentation and industrial networking hardware.
- Participate in testing, startup, and training of operations personnel.
- Contribute to QA/QC for design and code.
