Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a dynamic, client-focused SCADA Automation & Controls Engineer to join our team, supporting projects across the New England Region, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. You will collaborate with municipal and industrial clients to develop, implement, and manage water, wastewater, and remediation projects with a focus on automation and control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/industrial engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of control system integration experience.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC hardware/software.
• Experience with HMI software (FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition, iFix).
• Familiarity with OIT graphics (PanelView, C-More).
• Experience with automated reporting tools (XLReporter, HachWims).
• Hands-on with instrumentation and electrical schematics.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic networking knowledge and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site investigations to plan projects and cost estimates.
• Develop PLC logic for water/wastewater control systems.
• Design HMI screens and OIT graphics for SCADA.
• Create automated process reports for clients or regulators.
• Oversee field wiring, equipment startup, and commissioning tests.
• Configure networking hardware and connect SCADA equipment.
• Train operations personnel on system use and maintenance.
• Contribute to QA/QC of design deliverables and code.
