Job summary

Cagayan State University is seeking a Civil Engineer to assist in planning, designing, and implementing transportation projects in Tallahassee, FL. You will use Microstation, ORD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to create designs, perform analyses, and prepare drawings under supervision.

This hybrid role requires independent work and collaboration within project teams, with in-office days in Tallahassee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EI certification preferred.
• Transportation-related experience preferred.
• Proficient in engineering software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing, and implementing transportation projects.
• Support preparation of roadway design plans and related documentation.
• Use CADD software to create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under supervision.
• Perform engineering analyses and prepare reports and technical specifications under supervision.
• Collaborate within project teams to meet project objectives within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Collect and analyze data, conduct field work, and perform site inspections under supervision.
• Attend site visits and client meetings.
• Maintain project records, contribute to progress reports, and communicate updates to team members and supervisors.
• Work under the guidance of a project manager or senior engineer.
