Job summary

Ardurra is seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join our Tallahassee, FL office. This role provides exposure to highway and roadway design, urban arterials, and multimodal transportation improvements while collaborating with experienced engineers on state and local projects.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, 0–1 year of engineering exposure, and interest in transportation design.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
0–1 year of experience in engineering (internship preferred).
Interest in highway, roadway, and transportation engineering and design; EIT preferred or obtainable within one year.
Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other transportation design software preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and design of highway, roadway, intersection, interchange, and other transportation projects.
Support development of roadway geometry, horizontal/vertical alignments, profiles, cross sections, and typical sections.
Assist with preparation of roadway plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses in support of transportation design.
Assist with preparation of plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
Support drainage, utility, signing and pavement marking, maintenance of traffic, and other disciplines.
