Job summary

Lockton Northeast in the Washington, DC area is seeking an entry-level Risk Analyst to serve as the primary contact for a Property & Casualty book, building strong client and carrier relationships. This role is part of the Career Foundations Program, offering training to develop technical and practical insurance skills for a long-term career.

A successful candidate will support day-to-day client service and renewal activities for Client Managers and Account Executives, while embracing growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience required.
• Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality of client and company information.
• Willingness to travel and work outside normal hours as needed.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries, document communications, and track issues.
• Implement new lines of coverage by setting up accounts and collecting docs.
• Provide client service aligned with Lockton Northeast processes.
• Gather exposure info, loss-run schedules, and client stratifications.
• Request and secure quotes from carriers.
• Handle audits, quotes, binders, endorsements and changes as needed.
• Update policy specs and summary information during the year.
• Inform clients of changes that affect premiums or coverage.
• Prepare engagement documents (Renewal Strategy, Stewardship, Renewal Presentations).
