Job summary

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services seeks a RHTP Compliance & Financial Manager to lead budget, compliance, and grant management for the Rural Health Transformation Program. This role reports to the RHTP Program Operations Manager and ensures financial integrity of the CMS cooperative agreement.

Qualified candidates have extensive knowledge of federal grants, 2 CFR 200, CMS reporting, and strong budgeting, accounting, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of budget development, financial forecasting, and appropriation / allocation for federally funded programs.
• Extensive knowledge of federal grants management requirements, including 2 CFR 200.
• Familiarity with CMS cooperative agreements and reporting requirements.
• Strong budgeting, accounting, and analytical modeling skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment on financial and compliance matters.

• Direct the program's budget, compliance, and grant management functions.
• Serve as principal advisor on fiscal strategy and allowable use of funds.
• Ensure audit readiness and financial data integrity for decision making.
