Mediacom Communications is seeking a Customer Retention & Sales Representative I to build and maintain strong relationships with customers considering cancellation or downgrades. You will identify needs and offer solutions while driving retention and incremental sales, with hybrid work after training.

The role emphasizes listening, solution selling, and knowledge of Mediacom services. A supportive team environment and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Ability to identify customer needs and offer solutions.
• Strong consultative selling skills.
• Proficiency in typing and electronic communication.
• Effective verbal communication and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Turn requests for disconnection into save opportunities.
• Apply Retention Department’s mission to sell Mediacom’s services when possible.
• Listen to customer needs and offer appropriate retention promotions.
• Educate customers on Mediacom Mobile and gain inbound sales.
• Build loyalty through legendary customer service.
• Complete disconnect, transfer and seasonal downgrade orders, updating records.
• Explain billing, pricing, and product features.
• Resolve complaints calmly and courteously.
• Troubleshoot service and pricing problems by asking questions.
• Meet retention goals set by the company.
• May assist training new representatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
