Job summary

Accendra Health, Inc. is seeking a Bi-Modal Respiratory Therapist to perform home visits in the Charlottesville area, delivering oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment with patient education and follow-up care.

You will assess patient needs, document care, and collaborate with physicians and branch teams to ensure safe, effective respiratory support. Travel within the Charlottesville region is required; a valid driver’s license and CPR are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Hold a current RCP license in the state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on device use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs and document care; escalate concerns as needed.
• Coordinate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams to support patient discharge and ongoing care.
• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment including oxygen therapy, nebulization, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, and ventilation.
• Perform clinical assessments and tests (pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry) and collect vitals.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Hold a current RCP license
