Job summary

Accendra Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide essential in-home respiratory care and equipment support in Hawaii. You’ll split time between the branch and field visits, ensuring safe hospital-to-home transitions and patient independence with respiratory equipment.

Responsibilities include setup, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and care teams. Active HI RT license, valid license, and reliable vehicle required.

Qualifications

• Active HI RT license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
• Excellent bedside manner and strong customer service orientation.
• Hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support same‑day patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Ensure all actions meet regulatory and safety standards.
