Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for on-site work in Rhode Island, covering travel to nearby CT/NJ areas as needed. You will perform home visits, setup respiratory equipment, educate patients, and collaborate with the branch team to ensure high-quality care.

Valid RI or MA license and RRT credential are required. Join a field-focused team with flexible 40/60 office/field mix, on-call rotation, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Rhode Island or Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license.
• RRT credential required.
• Open to candidates with any level of Respiratory Therapy experience.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs; valid driver's license.
• CPR certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Conduct home visits to set up oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use and maintenance.
• Assess patient needs, document care, and escalate concerns.
• Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs.
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and branch teams.
• Maintain documentation using iPad/laptop.
• Operate respiratory care equipment including oxygen, nebulization, PAP, and ventilation.
• Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform clinical assessments such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, and spirometry.
