Job summary

Strive Health seeks a Vice President of Data Platform to lead the enterprise data platform, data architecture, and governance across Strive’s data warehouse and related data capabilities.

The role oversees ingestion from health plan, clinical, eligibility, and operational data, ensuring trusted, well-documented data products for multiple teams. Candidates should have extensive leadership experience and a strong track record in data governance and analytics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data architecture, analytics engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience leading technical data teams, including hiring, development and management of data professionals.
• 7+ years designing and evolving a data warehouse, lakehouse, or enterprise data platform.
• 5+ years of ownership of production operations for data pipelines and warehouse workloads.
• 5+ years integrating diverse data sources (structured, semi-structured, clinical, claims, partner).
• 5+ years building governed data models and reusable data products.
• 3+ years establishing data governance and data quality practices.
• 5+ years partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted data products.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, architecture, operating model and long-term roadmap for Strive’s enterprise data warehouse.
• Oversee ingestion and hydration of warehouse from multiple data streams including health plan, clinical, eligibility, and operational data.
• Design scalable ingestion, transformation, and data-modeling patterns with latency, cost and recoverability considerations.
• Build processes enabling Analytics, Data Science, and Medical Economics to develop trusted metrics and insights.
• Lead data governance initiatives and ensure consistent protocols across the warehouse.
• Design and operate production observability and alerting for ingestion, transformation and downstream data products.
• Own data-quality incidents from triage to resolution and drive improvements.
• Recruit, develop and retain the data organization and manage vendors/consultants.
