Job summary

The City of Loveland is seeking a Building Energy Codes Coordinator to oversee the development, adoption, and updates of energy codes, provide data-driven analysis, and support climate initiatives. You will manage code cycles, coordinate with internal departments and state agencies, and deliver training for inspectors and staff while aligning with city goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum five years' experience in building energy code and/or electric utility sector.
• Knowledge of building energy codes, building science, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development, adoption, and implementation of building energy codes.
• Manage long-term planning and short-term update cycles for energy codes.
• Collaborate with internal departments, regional partners, the County, and State agencies.
• Provide analytical interpretation of building performance, compliance, and energy-related data.
• Develop and deliver training for inspectors, plans examiners, engineers, and other staff.
• Maintain educational materials, guidance documents, and web resources.
